THIS NEW INNOVATION ALLOWS THE USE OF HOLLOW STEM AUGERS FOR DRILLING THROUGH WATER BEARING SANDS WITHOUT TROUBLESOME "BLOW-IN" OR "HEAVE".
Fitting into the specially machined slot in the DIEDRICH CUTTER HEAD, the plug prevents water bearing sands from entering the hollow stem auger while drilling or split spoon sampling. The plug eliminates the need for water and/or drilling mud or cleaning material out of the bottom of the auger while drilling.
